Novelty in the regulation of the position of foreigners in the Republic of Serbia

The Law on Amendments of the Law on Foreigners (Službeni glasnik 31/19) effective from April 29, 2019 introduced among other amendments one novelty in the regulation of the position of foreigners in the Republic of Serbia, introducing the new article 41 named “Unified application for temporary stay and work license.”

This way the legislator issued a rule that when filing the application for the approbation of temporary stay or prolongation of temporary stay, a foreigner also files the application for the work license personally or electronically on the appointment form, with an adequate fee.
Practical application of this article should show its effects in the future, taking into consideration that it alleviates the procedure that regulates the position of foreign investors in the first place.
